We’re so excited to release a Believe in the Run exclusive, “Beyond Belief: A Conversation With Eliud Kipchoge,” in partnership with COROS.
In case you’ve been sleeping for the last two years, in October 2019, Eliud Kipchoge became the first human ever to break the two-hour mark in the marathon, when he ran a 1:59:40 at the INEOS 1:59 Challenge in Vienna, Austria. That day, he embodied his own mantra: “No Human Is Limited.”
This week, Believe in the Run was lucky enough to sit down and have a conversation with Eliud about his own belief – in himself and in his running, and how that belief has driven him to change the history of his sport.
The YouTube premiere of our conversation goes live at 12 p.m. ET on 2/19, but you can replay anytime after. During the premiere, we’ll be in the room to answer any questions you have. Seriously, you’re going to love this one. Eliud is super real and open and finally answers the real important questions, like how many Alphaflys he goes through in a year. We’ve also provided subtitles for the entire conversation.
If for some weird reason you’re not subscribed to us on YouTube, you can listen to the conversation on The Drop weekly podcast, wherever you get your podcasts, or here.
Beyond Belief Challenge
Also, to celebrate our conversation with Eliud, we’ve partnered with COROS for the Beyond Belief Challange, an event to finish the month of February. We’re asking you to run 1:59:40 (just under two hours) between now and February 28th and log your miles on the event leaderboard. Run your miles in one shot, run them over a dozen runs – it’s up to you. For some, this is a Saturday long run. For others, it may be the most you’ve run in months. But we want you to get out there and see how far you can run in 1 hour, 59 minutes, and 40 seconds. That’s it.
The best part about this? This event is totally FREE. By signing up, you’ll also be registered to win one of THREE (3) COROS PACE 2 GPS watches, winner of the best overall watch of 2020 in our annual Best In Gear awards. (You can also read our full in-depth review of the watch here.) Plus, we’ll throw in some nice BITR swag.Register Now
When you register, you’ll also get some awesome custom-made Instagram posts and stories to post in your feed. One more thing: Don’t forget to search “Believe in the Run” in your Instagram stickers and make sure you tag us and @corosglobal and use the hashtag #beyondbelief.
One last thing – we’ve also made 100 limited-edition Believe X Eliud Kipchoge t-shirts, with proceeds going to the Eliud Kipchoge Foundation. You can pick one up during registration for the event.
